The Gardeners’ Guild of Braintree will hold its perennial plant sale on Saturday, June 17 from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the rear of the Historic Bean Museum and fronting on Washington Street directly across from Braintree Town Hall. If raining, the sale is inside the Bean Museum.
Hundreds of perennial plants and herbs from members’ private gardens will be offered and reasonably priced from $3.00 and up. A table featuring inexpensive “trash to treasure” items for outdoor use will be there. A table featuring unique birdhouses will be for sale. Proceeds will benefit the local community, which includes town-wide plantings, school gardens, books to all public schools, scholarships and other projects.
June 17th is also opening day for Sustainable Braintree’s Food Market at the Town Hall Mall and for the Friends of Thayer Public Library’s book sale in the Library’s parking area. So come on down to the historic Town Hall area. Spend a productive, enjoyable morning supporting your community and take home some quality values.
